Axiom Space contributed to the history books on June 25, 2025 when it launched a four-member crew to the International Space Station for a two-week science and outreach mission dubbed AX-4. The crew included the first-ever Indian, Hungarian, and Polish citizens to fly a mission to the orbiting lab. AX-4 also marked the second government-sponsored human spaceflight mission in more than four decades. The crew included:

  • Shubhanshu Shukla — India’s 2nd astronaut to go to space since 1984
  • Sławosz Uznański — second Polish astronaut since 1978
  • Tibor Kapu — second Hungarian astronaut since 1980
  • Peggy Whitson — U.S. astronaut who holds record for most time in space

The crew’s mission includes some 60 scientific experiments and activities representing 31 countries including the U.S., India, Poland, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Nigeria, UAE, and nations across Europe.
