The Institute for Astronomy (IfA) at the University of Hawaʻi, Mānoa is offering eligible undergraduate students a 10-week, paid research internship during the summer of 2025. Students interested in pursuing science careers have the opportunity to work with IfA astronomers and conduct cutting-edge research on various astrophysics disciplines including the development of new telescopes, instruments, and adaptive optics. In addition to research at IfA headquarters at Mānoa, students can conduct observations using telescopes on Maunakea or Haleakalā. The final week of the program will include an excursion to Maunakea on Hawaiʻi island as well as cultural education and training in Polynesian wayfinding by the ʻImiloa Astronomy Center. Details:

- Weekly stipend: $700 for meals and other costs
- Included: Airfare to/from Hawaiʻi island, accommodations, two meals per day
