SpaceX’s Starship blasts into space during its sixth test flight on Nov. 19, 2024.
Another incredible Starship test is in the books! On Tuesday, Nov. 19, SpaceX launched the sixth trial flight of Starship into space, pushing the spacecraft to its limits with an aggressive flight trajectory and ferrying a plush banana into low-Earth orbit. Although SpaceX had to abort the booster rocket’s launchpad landing and chopstick catch this time around, Starship successfully soft-landed in the Indian Ocean and achieved its key mission objectives. SpaceX is now a leap closer to proving the world’s largest rocket as a viable transport vehicle to carry astronauts to the lunar surface and beyond!
