According to a story in the Molokai Dispatch, STEM Robotics held the first robotics competition in Hawaii on the island of Molokai on Oct. 24.

The Molokai VEX IQ League was hosted at Molokai Middle School with robotics teams from Molokai Middle (MMS), Akaula, Kaunakakai Elementary, and Kilohana Elementary. According to the story, 11 on-island teams from Molokai schools attended the event.

The 2015 VEX IQ Challenge was called “Bank Shot.” Students constructed robots to place plastic 3-inch balls into a low goal (one point each) or to shoot or dump balls into a higher, more distant high goal (three points each) all within one-minute.
