HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN STEM
Through internships and summer space programs, PISCES serves as a valuable resource for students seeking experience in aerospace and related science and engineering fields. Since 2013, the agency has mentored more than 50 students from Hawaii through in-house internships, the Akamai Workforce Initiative and PIPES (Pacific Internships for Exploring Science) program.

Internship Program
In collaboration with the State of Hawaii and private companies, PISCES is facilitating the development of a Laser Communication Ground Station in Hawaii to support the next generation of space communication technologies.

Women’s STARS Program
PISCES, together with the Hawaii Space Flight Laboratory, prepared a whitepaper outlining economic development and recovery opportunities in Aerospace for the State of Hawaii.
