INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

SUMMER INTERNSHIPS

Our 10-week summer internship provides paid, hands-on experience to Hawaiʻi-based undergraduate students in one of two tracks: Robotics or Materials Science. These tracks incorporate electronics technology, software programming, hardware engineering, planetary science and geology. Students are assigned specific project goals and timelines and must work both individually and in teams. Students are also invited to propose their own project ideas within the scope of one of the two internship tracks.

EARNING COLLEGE CREDITS

We offer credit-based internships in partnership with Hawaiʻi Community College and other University of Hawaiʻi schools by special arrangement. Eligible students receive hour-for-hour classroom credit during their school semester and gain technical skills to prepare them for exciting jobs in technology, engineering, computer and natural sciences.
