The public is invited to participate in a free virtual event highlighting women who work on the cutting edge of space exploration. The Women in Space Exploration (WiSE) Talks series, organized by PISCES in partnership with Microsoft and Hawaii Science and Technology Museum, will feature seven inspiring women who work in space careers exploring Mars, life support systems, Saturn and even extraterrestrial habitats. The event will be held during the Hawaii Dept. of Education’s fall break period, Oct. 5 to 10, and will be open to anyone who wishes to participate. Young women, ages 25 and under, will get priority during Q&A sessions.

Through WiSE Talks, PISCES hopes to inspire more young women in space and related STEM careers. Due to the continuing health and safety threat posed by COVID-19, the annual Women’s STARS Program was cancelled this summer.
