PISCES’ work in aerospace development was recognized in Hawaii Business magazine last month. PISCES: A Local Launch Pad to Space and Aerospace Careers highlighted the state-funded agency’s internship and workforce development programs for college and high school students, including the annual STARS (STEM Aerospace Research Scholars) space program for high school girls.
The article also explored PISCES’ extensive research on Hawaiian basalt as a medium for lunar and Mars regolith, noting the promising global outlook for aerospace development in 2020. “Hawaii might be able to take advantage of some of those investments,” the article stated.
The article will appear in Hawaii Business’ March print edition.
