The Pacific International Space Center for Exploration Systems and the Google Lunar XPRIZE have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish cooperative relations in the emerging commercial space industry, as well as collaborative efforts in education.
The agreement will enable closer collaboration on projects like the PISCES Moon RIDERS student lunar flight experiment, which aims to land a space experiment on the surface of the Moon by late 2016.
The MOU was approved during a PISCES board meeting on Feb. 26., and signed by Chanda Gonzales of GLXP and PISCES Board Chair Henk Rogers.
